Hi Robin
FIR waves are different than microwaves. They have got a higher frequency and lower wavelength.(

Here is a link to some research but unfortunately the links within the pdf do not go anywhere now.

Dr Sherry Rogers in her book Detox or Die mentions various pieces of research but does not give any references to scientifc literature.
I have heard that The Swedish National Institute of Radiation Protection has concluded that FIR is not dangerous. They tend to be hot on stuff like this.
Although FIR technology might have been around in Cayce's day I doubt it was readily available. It has only really become popular much more recently.
FIR is thought to be 7 times more effective at detoxifying heavy metals, nicotine, alcohol and environmental toxins than conventional heat or steam saunas.
You must still be sitting in an electromagnetic field in a steam sauna don't you think?
Best
Sandy

Hi Folks,
I offer steam sauna in my practice, so this discussion has been very
interesting to me. Many of you know how much I rely on the Cayce
readings to help me make decisions when there isn't enough current
research to convince me. FIR was a technology available in Cayce's day,
so was curious to find out why he consistently recommended steam rather
than FIR for detoxification. I haven't found the answer yet, but I did
find it curious that the FIR wave is very similar to a microwave. I
don't know about anyone else on this list, but I for one don't even use
a microwave to cook my food. So for me, I think I'll stick with steam
sauna until someone convinces me FIR is completely safe.
Cheers,
Robin
