[bowelcleanse] Wall St Journal article on colon cleansing

A lengthy article was done by the WSJ on Sept 28th entitled: Inner Beauty: A Healthy Colon in the 'Health Journal' by Melinda Beck.

It is worth finding and reading in full. Among the other things in the article is the following: "Steven Horne, a past president of
the American Herbalist Guild, says use of home-cleansing products can
result in startling results. But the expelled goo shown in online
photos is most likely the mucilaginous fiber in the purging products
themselves, combined with black bile from the liver, he says. "People
do pass this stuff, but it's a myth that it's coming off the lining of
their colon."

The article quotes doctors and colon hydrotherapists as well as 'herbalists' and, as I said, is worth reading.

If eating healthy is difficult it's likely that you're either allergic or addicted to something you're eating. Not uncommon at all!

I personally use Natural Cellular Defense. At the beginning I used the detox dose and after getting rid of my body burden I use a lesser amount to stay alkaline and to prevent viral particulates from forming.

Like you, I have tried many methods for detoxing. This one actually fixes the problem at the root cause. Most detoxes I've tried just make you feel good for a few days but are actually redepositing toxins elsewhere--like the thyroid.

I recently did a ten day watermelon cleanse and felt fantastic every day. This would not be the case in someone who is toxic. They'd be spewing out toxins like mad and feeling sick for at least the first 3 days.

I think Robin put it very well.

One of the best ways of getting toxins out is to stop putting toxins into your body. This means eating organic food, or at least replace the foods highest in pesticides with organinc food. Here is the list http://www.foodnews.org/

Avoid using chemicals in your home and use only natural personal care products. Providing your body has enough of the right nutrients your liver will then clear the backlog. You can help it with the dandelion root, milk thistle and burdock root but you may need a nutritional liver detox support supplement.

Have you tried taking Quercetin as a supplement? It can help prevent the release of histamine from cells. That may be what is happening in your mouth and nose.

What has seemed to work the best is a regimen of daily enemas.

Go to any WALMART anywhere and get the enema bag (they call it a waterbottle for douches n enemas) near the prescription area $4.95 unbelievably cheap and great thing to have...
Use good, clean filtered water....
do a 1 quart or 1.5 quart and work toward a 2 quart enema daily.

Keep it simple....
HIgh PH enema; keep your colon clean....; eliminate the toxins..; increase your body ph (i.e. higher alkalinity; lower acidity)

achieve this by adding 1 tablespoon baking soda to 1 quart good, clean filtered water (NO FLORIDE; NO CHOLINE in water)

This will aid in your goal of healthy, allergy reduced living....

ALSO, you can get CAPSULES of acidipholus and add one capsule to each enema... this provides great FLORA (i.e. good bacteria) to your colon.

Do this daily; just like brushing your teeth .... for optimal cleanliness, health, vitality and for assisting in your detox regimen.

Remember when you detox ... the toxins need to be elimiated and during the process of elimination in your colon can be reabsorbed. Thus, the enema helps cleanse away and flush out the toxins.

I guess my question would be why would you want to detox on a daily basis?
Try this on...

Let's say our bodies are like our kitchens. We typically don't pull out
our refrigerators and our stoves each day. We do normal kitchen
maintenance daily, weekly, and periodically. Daily would be dishes and
such. Weekly would be a little more thorough like dusting and moving
things around on the counter tops to clean underneath. Periodically would
be moving the fridge, stove, and the other big items where "stuff"
accumulates. Now to put this in our body terms -

Daily - a good healthy elimination through the alimentary canal, plenty of
water to flush the kidneys, a period of exercise that facilitates a bit of
sweat and deep breathing.

Weekly - perhaps a day fasting

Periodically - a good systemic detox like a 3-day apple diet (ala Cayce) or
a water fast (ala Shelton).

Maybe working towards balance in these areas would be a more realistic goal
for you.
