Hi,
I wish I had answers for you, but I posted this because I wondered if anyone else had heard of it. All I know I put in the original post.
Note that it said not to drink or eat for 45 minutes after eating the concoction. And, yes, you're right. It is very thick. I added extra papaya so that it wasn't quite so thick without watering it down so much that it wasn't effective. I also saw that it made me extremely thristy so I probably drank more like 20 glasses of water!! LOL!! I assume as the instructions said to take it morning and night that one could eat "normally" during the mid day. I think I'll adapt it to make it work better for me by taking smaller quantities throughout the day. Again, what amazes me is how effective it is for how cheap it is!!

> Since it is advised to take psyllium with a full glass of H20 to prevent choking, does the cranberry-papaya necter substitute for the liquid you are supposed to take.
> Also, the mixture was so thick, I couldn't even get may powerful HP3 horsepower blender to budge without adding 1/4 cup of water. It was a very thick pudding consistency when blended. Is this o.k.?

> Wondering if any of you have tried the cranberry papaya colon cleanse? It consists of cranberries, papaya, psyllium and flaxseed meal. It is really doing a tremendous job as a colon cleanse. (It seems to be as effective as VE Irons/Sonnes AND much cheaper)!! However, the instructions said to do it morning and night for only 2 days. Could it not be taken in smaller portions throughout the day and for longer than just the 2 days? It would appear to me that there couldn't be any harm in taking cranberries and papaya for an extended period of time. I used to do the VE Irons/Sonnes cleanse for 7-10 days at a time.

> It's best to follow the recipe exactly: chop 2 cups of cranberries in a food processor, then place in a blender with one small or medium papaya (cut into chunks), 1 Tbs. of ground flaxseed and 2 Tbs. of unsweetened, unflavored psyllium powder (like Yerba Prima Psyllium Husks Powder, $5 for 12 oz., at amazon.com). Since it contains so much fiber, the blend is not digested in the stomachâ€"it travels to the intestines, where it removes waste similarly to the way a plumbing gel cleans clogged pipes. The shake loses its sweeping effect if it's too thin. To get rid of the 5 to 40 pounds of stagnant waste that the average woman is carrying, drink a shake in the morning and again in the evening for two days. Also, lubricate the intestines by drinking ten 8 oz. glasses of water daily for two days before and during the cleanse. For best results, wait at least 45 minutes after each dose before drinking or eating.
