I used to have a Colonic Hydrotherapy practice and one of my clients had a similar experience and was taken to the emergency room
in the middle of the night. Of course they said that it was the colonic but later her husband was also ill so she thought it must have been
some gastrointestinal virus that was going around. She got better and came back for another colonic but was fine that time.
She knew I sterilized everything well.
I also remember that another therapist that came to see me felt very nauseated afterwards for quite a long time.
Although people react differently and some do get bloating after a colonic it's highly unlikely that would have caused you bloating since December.
Perhaps the two things are unrelated. You could have picked up a parasite around the same time.
You could, for example, have touched something in the bathroom that a previous client with parasites had touched with unclean hands.
And, of course if your therapist had not properly sterilized all the equipment then you could have picked up a parasite.
What made you have a colonic in the first place? Did you have a bowel problem? What other symptoms did you have?
What sort of colonic system was it?
Perhaps you could get a stool test done at a good laboratory to find out what is going on in your bowel.

Hello listers: I am still trying to figure out the extreme bloating I have had since December when I had my colon cleansing. This morning I woke up with the idea that perhaps I could have contracted a parasite (then remembered, that I threw up the entire night after having the colon cleansing). Has anyone had experience with this?
