You will find some information about Ayurvedic enemas if you search for Ayurvedic Bastis( also try Vastis)
They use lots of different enemas for different problems according to your dosha.

There are loads of them. It depends on th person and what is the problem. One of the safest and good for most anyone is soaking a tsp. or so of triphala in water and then drinking it at bedtime. Some also do that in the morning instead. Some eat castor oil (tsp. or more) at bedtime and some have it with ginger powder. Diet, digestive herbs and laxative herbs are all used.

[bowelcleanse] a good bowel cleanser

Seems like there are some new members here so I thought I'd mention that Homozon is a stellar product for safe and effective bowel cleansing. I have had a number of clients tell me they did a well known herbal bowel cleanse put out by a rather famous herbal doctor and they ended up with serious bowel injury from it and had to try to repair the damage.
