Please don't confuse those colon cleanse products with colonics or an
enemas. They are in no way alike in their affects.

Hi Ginny

As Robin said it really depends on what you are looking for.

You have to find out what is causing the IBS in the first place.

It's not really a diagnosis as doctors give a set of symptoms that label
when they rule out outher conditions.

Have you had it diagnosed by a doctor?

It can be due to many things such as parasties, yeast overgrowth, food
sensitivities, food allergies, small intestine bacterial overgrowth, prior
gastro-intestinal infection, and/or stress.

There is no doubt that bowel cleansing through various methods can help with
most conditions.

Thanks, Robin. I do believe I am in the wrong forum. I found a group that is strictly IBS and all its miserable components, so I have joined that group and will leave this one.

As an FYI, I used a colon cleanse for an endoscopy and colonoscopy and still had pain in lower abdomen. I don't think colon cleanse is the answer for me.
