Hi Ginny,

It depends on what you're looking for from the forum. Our forum usually
discusses ways to cleanse the bowel. I am a colon hydrotherapist, so
bowel cleansing is my business. There are many hydrotherapists on the
forum, and there are some of us who simply do in-home enemas.

In my practice, I have had many clients who have found help with their
IBS by having colonics and by making diet and lifestyle changes. I
have had some that were more successful using an Edgar Cayce herbal
tonic called Formula 208. I have had some use castor oil packs with
great success, and then I've had some who can't seem to get the
stressors out of their life and nothing seems to help.

I have noticed over the years that a significant number of my clients
had the onset of their IBS when they started college. I have often
wondered if it is the stress of being away from home coupled with
exposure to alcohol and toxic food while being under all that pressure
to perform that is the magic IBS causing formula. I have also noticed
that many of my clients had the onset in childhood where they grew up in
alcoholic or abusive homes. In both cases, learning self-care and a
stress reducing practices helps tremendously.
