Hi Stan,
I can't say for sure that I have successfully treated my amoeba infection, but I can share what I know.
- A lab test found amoebas years ago, and I was treated with (I think) Flagyl, (I'm sorry- I don't know if it was invasive or non-invasive variety- not sure if they were making that distinction back then.
- I have continued to have GI stuff for years, but have never had Amoebas show up on a test again. Mostly Candida, and some other things here and there.
- CAn we assume you have bothersome symptoms, and that is why you are looking for teatment?
- I'd check out the herbal ingredients of some of the common parasite cleanses out there. For example, Hulda Clark, Humaworm, Blessed Herbs, & the formula offered by the this parasite testing lab (www.parasitetesting.com/).
I've done blessed herbs' cleanse several times, and felt it was helpful, though no objective confirmation of that. I am currently on the Humaworm cleanse (I switched bc I wanted to avoid the gluten in the tinctures used by BH). I was on the HW website recently, and they had a good listing of the actions of the herbs they use... I'm pretty sure I saw something about treating amoebas in there. All these sites have lots of info posted, so you could check that out as well.
One thing I have heard is that whatever you try, it is often necessary to repeat the treatment several times. Most commonly, I have heard to repeat every three months for a total of 3x. This is so that you catch the eggs and larval forms that may hatch and grow after the first round of treatment (often the treatments don't get the eggs, etc.)
I've basically decided to do an annual or even semi-annual parasite cleanse, just bc I believe it can be hard to fully eradicate them, plus we are constantly exposed. So my strategy has changed to keeping them at bay :-)
Good luck to you,
Jazz

Since they cannot distinguish between the invasive and non-invasive E. dispat, it seems reasonable to assume that based not he stool antigen test, I have been infected with the non-invasive variety. I read that no treatment is an option in this case, just to live with the infection.
